Neal and Ivana – Mexico – Part Uno

Mexico… One place with so much wonderful meaning to me now. I can’t even begin to express how amazing each and every part of Neal and Ivana’s destination wedding were. From the hotel location to the beautiful streets of Peurto Vallarta, where we conducted their engagement shoot, each part was uniquely different and every day more meaningful. The amazing people I met on this trip which I am so gracious to now call my friends made everything even more spectacular.

We will keep this to the engagement session as I could probably write ten paragraphs about the wedding…. oh the wedding… but we will leave that for Part Dos.

I first met Neal and Ivana back in February at Courtney and Emily’s wedding in Toronto. It was there where they first discussed me accompanying them to Mexico for their wedding that November. A few emails later and we were in full swing. Last Friday I boarded a plane with close to 44 wedding guests I didn’t know, Neal and Ivana and Courtney and Emily, but was instantaneously welcomed and before we arrived at the hotel was already fast-friends with Ivana’s childhood friend Sandra and my roommate for the week.

Neal, Ivana and I, had discussed varying details as to their wedding, and one important… aside from the wedding itself was a day-before engagement session in Peurto Vallarta. I am so glad they opted for this session! We were on the streets before 8 a.m. and the soft light and cobble stone roadways provided a glorious backdrop for their images.
